StoutSHOUT To Filmmaker Aman Johnson For Exploring Love, Loss and Healing Together

Calling out Stout In Action

Relationships, Reality, Remembering

Aman Johnson is an independent film maker on a mission to create a film that helps those who’ve lost parents heal together.

Poster for The Method of Places, the film Aman is in the funding stage of now.

A Very Personal Mission

Aman Johnson’s father lost his own dad when he was quite young and rarely spoke of the relationship or loss. Aman grew up believing that perhaps it was simply too painful for his father to talk about the experience. However, when Aman’s own father passed away, he began to realize how difficult it is to hold on to the memories of loved ones who are gone. The personal experience of that struggle inspired Aman to explore the issue with the intent of creating a conversation with others going through the same thing to help them heal.

I do believe you have a wound too
I do believe it is both specific to you
and common to to everyone
And it is from this wound
that your art is born.

– Charlie Kaufman

Aman is working on funding an original film the explores the relationship between parents and children, the places we grow up in and the places we raise our kids as parents. At it’s heart it’s a story about the love we try to hold onto.
